As I work on revamping my jewelry site, I’m also going through my studio. Moving from a few different countries in the past year, I’ve unpacked. Fallen out of love with things. Picked up things.. here, there, other continents everywhere. I feel that it’s time for a great art yard sale. I’ve opened up a place on etsy.com for all these little things that I find could go into another artist’s hands.
Go to samplesale.etsy.com for my vintage finds, studio art supplies, and some jewelry that has never made the cut from my main line. I’m not looking to make big profits here, just ready to pass along what I don’t use. Lots of interesting things being sold for peanuts. After I finally get everything I have set aside listed, I plan to keep it up so that I can always keep a clean workspace.
I have to add with a smile that after being one of the first to sign up on etsy (three years ago!!) the place has grown so much! I remember being on message boards there and being able to recognize other merchant’s icons… pretty amazing to see all the ways to search, find items and spend time on etsy now. I’ll always be glad for that place for showing all of us independent artists what we could do.
Come and check out the Polaroid Retrospective at Glazer’s rental gallery downtown. I have a set of polaroids in the show, which will run till July 27th. There will also be a Polaroid farewell party on July 17th!
I’m so excited to announce that through the efforts of one great editor, Jenifer Altman, our polaroid book is now available for pre-order. (The first copies will include a beautiful print from the book with them!)
I can’t wait to see them in person.
I’m in the process of launching some new collections for Natural Historie. You can see a sneak peek of some designs at Supermarket!
Head over to the fifth issue of Design for Mankind’s Inspiration eZine to see my photography featured on page 9. (or download it here.) Thanks to Erin for asking me to be a part of it!
Press: Dynamite Jewelry
See a very nice write-up of my jewelry design work found at dynamite jewelry.
There are few very blogs out there that specifically highlight jewelry designers, so when lisa sent me an email told to let me know that she had written up about my work, I had to check out her about page:
“These days it seems like everyone is a jewelry designer, yet the reality is that creating truly outstanding pieces requires an artistic mind and hand. This blog is an attempt to sort through the abundance of jewelry options saturating the marketplace and showcase the designs that we believe are truly special.”
Awesome.
I’ve been featured in a lovely spread called “Banners We Love” in the Summer 2008 issue of Artful Blogging, a Stampington & Company publication. They recently sent sent me a copy of the magazine and I think it looks beautiful! Check out local store locations for your copy.
Hello, hello!
As I exit from the world of personal blogging, I want to introduce a new online place that will keep you updated on the various projects that I am working on. Keep this page bookmarked.
